Treadmills are the most convenient solution if you decide on staying in shape and yet your time does not permit you to go running or walking, or if you do not have an accessible walking or running area. It would also be more expensive if you consider joining a gym, compared to buying your own treadmill. It also allows you to exercise at your own terms, when and what time you like to workout, even while watching television.

The treadmill you are suggested to purchase should have a strong motor with a minimum of 2 horsepower; an LCD or LED indicator for distance, time, speed, calories and heart rate; must be capable of top speeds of 8 to 10 miles per hour; belt must be at least 50 x 18 and 2 ply; have a safety feature for easy shut off in case of a fall; and a warranty of at least 1 to 3 years is better for the deck needs. An owner’s manual is included in all treadmills packaging.
